The case is made for NHS-employed doctors, likely to include GPs working for PCTs, but excludes GMS GPs.
Separate evidence for GMS GPs will be submitted to the Doctors’ Dentists’ Review Body (DDRB) in November.
Today’s evidence argues that a balance has to be struck between fairness to staff and affordability.
In its DDRB evidence submitted today, NHS Employers recognises that inflationary pressures and efficiency expectations are putting pressure on services and any unfunded cost pressures from pay could threaten patient care.
